It is the responsibility of the Guest to read and understand the terms and conditions of Seva Yoga Retreats before booking a retreat. By accessing this website, you are agreeing to abide by this website’s Terms and Conditions - which may be amended from time to time - and all applicable laws and regulations. The materials on this site are subject to copyright, trademark and other applicable laws. The following terms and conditions refer to the Guests (as defined below) interested in booking Seva Yoga Retreats only. Guest is referred to You, the one interested in booking or one who has already reserved a spot in one of retreat organized by Seva Yoga Retreats.

ABOUT SEVA YOGA RETREATS 

Seva Yoga Retreats is a company operating as a sole proprietorship under the company name “THEOCHARI MARIA” established in Athens, Greece and existing under the laws of Greece, with its principal place of business in Greece.

PRICES AND PAYMENT POLICY

To sign up for a retreat at Seva Yoga Retreats, a non-refundable deposit of six hundred Euros (€600) is required. The full payment of the total amount due can be made in two installments: 50% of the due amount no later than 90 days prior to the retreat start date and the remaining 50% must be paid 60 days prior to the retreat start date (in both cases minus the deposit of €600). The retreat prices are charged per person and DO NOT include flights and/or any other traveling costs.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation by the Guest 

“Cancellation” is defined as, the Guest not attending a booked retreat at Seva Yoga Retreats. Additionally, please bear in mind that cancellation fees may apply, depending on when the Guest cancels. If the Guest decides to cancel his/her booked place at a retreat organised by Seva Yoga Retreats for any reason, then unfortunately the booking fee of six hundred euro (EUR 600) will not be returned. If cancellation takes place more than 45 days before the retreat starts, then any payments made will be refunded minus the €600 deposit. In case of cancellation in less than 45 days prior to the retreat start date, then unfortunately the 100% of your trip price along with the 600€ deposit will be forfeited and are not refundable. Exceptions to our policy are not possible, due to the fact that Seva Yoga Retreats needs to commit to accommodations and other arrangements in advance. Furthermore, we do not offer credit for arriving late or leaving early.

 

Cancellation by Seva Yoga Retreats 

Seva Yoga Retreats is committed to cater for the very best of its Guests, however Seva Yoga Retreats must cancel a retreat if there are not enough participants. In this case, the Guest is entitled to transfer the full payment to another scheduled retreat or request a refund of the amount paid including the deposit fee. Seva Yoga Retreats is not responsible for any expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled retreat by Seva Yoga Retreats, such as hotel reservations, airplane tickets, loss of work, or/ and other costs associated with preparing for the trip.

CONCLUSION OF CONTRACT

Retreats organised by Seva Yoga Retreats are offered or booked via an online booking form. The form must be truthfully filled out and signed by the customer before the start of the trip. A contract is only concluded when we accept your booking by a declaration of acceptance. As soon as the (deposit) payment to Seva Yoga Retreats has been made, the participation is assured. The transfer to third parties is not permitted.

FORCE MAJEURE

Seva Yoga Retreats shall not be responsible for failing to fulfill their contractual obligations to the extent that this failure is due to events outside its control. This includes but is not limited to a pandemic, acts of God, fire, flood, cancellation of flights or/and prohibition of sailing due to adverse weather conditions, war, acts of terrorism, riot, civil commotion, governmental actions (excluding regulatory change), labour disputes, and any similar events. In the case of such force majeure events, no refund will be granted, and all payments will be credited in the form of a voucher* valid for 1 year from the start date of the cancelled retreat.

*This voucher cannot be transferred to another person.

RESERVATION OF RIGHTS

Seva Yoga Retreats reserves the right to make any changes deemed necessary to our retreats. In the event of an emergency of force majeure reason, illness, or sickness, Seva Yoga Retreats reserves the right to make any changes necessary to the retreats and / or replace the retreat yoga teacher and there is no refund in this case. Seva Yoga Retreats also reserves the right to change the premises (hotel, villa, venue) to a location of equal quality, where the retreat takes place due to any emergency circumstances. Seva Yoga Retreats holds the right to change the activities of the retreat (e.g. island hopping, hiking), in case of weather, illness, sickness, or any other emergency of force majeure reason. Seva Yoga Retreats will do the very best to adjust to the circumstances and act promptly for the benefit of the Guests.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

It is the responsibility of the Guest to organise suitable travel and health insurance. Please note, even if you have private health insurance in Greece or your respective Country of residence, it is unlikely that this insurance will cover overseas trips such as the retreats offered by Seva Yoga Retreats. We require that all visitors have adequate travel and health insurance that will cover overseas trips such as the retreats offered by Seva Yoga Retreats. Seva Yoga Retreats is not in the business of providing insurance products and cannot be held liable if your failure to arrange suitable insurance coverage leaves you exposed, medically, financially or otherwise.

 

PASSPORTS, VISAS AND DOCUMENTS

It is the responsibility of the Guest to obtain all necessary documentation (a valid passport, visa(s) and necessary certificates) for any country to be visited in connection with a Seva Yoga Retreat.

RETREAT ITEMS & YOGA EQUIPMENT

Yoga mats, blocks and straps provided by Seva Yoga Retreats are for use at the retreats organised by Seva Yoga Retreats only and remain the sole property of Seva Yoga Retreats and/or other third party involved.

​

Covid-19 Note | Seva Yoga Retreats provides each Guest with their own mat and block for the retreat.  However, each guest is permitted to bring their own mats and yoga towels if they prefer, as well as any necessary yoga equipment.

​

GENERAL WAIVER - LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Guests agree that Seva Yoga Retreats will not be liable for any act or omission of the yoga teacher/s, wellness expert/s, accommodation venue and/or any other third-party service providers and its employees, associates, subcontractors and agents.

​

The Guest acknowledges that during a retreat he/she participates voluntarily in any and all activities on the Seva Yoga Retreats and/or any other third-party service providers and gives up his/her rights as far as legally possible to any lawsuit arising from any, whatsoever, loss, damage, or cost incurred to a person or property during a retreat organised by Seva Yoga Retreats.

The Guest hereby waives, releases and discharges from and against any and all liability from his/her participation in a retreat organised by Seva Yoga Retreats and in any and all activities arranged by Seva Yoga Retreats and/or other third party service providers, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of Seva Yoga Retreats and/or its employees and/or its collaborators and/or its subcontractors, for the Guest’s death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to him/her including his/her trip to and from activities arranged by Seva Yoga Retreats and/or other third party service providers.

The Guest hereby agrees to be responsible for his/her own welfare and accept any and all risks including but not limited to delays, unanticipated events, inconveniences, illness, injury, emotional trauma or death. The Guest hereby certifies that he/she is physically fit and has not been advised to not participate, by any means or in any manner, in any such activity arranged by the retreat hosts by a qualified medical professional. The Guest hereby certifies that there are no health-related reasons or problems, which preclude the Guest’s participation in any and all activities arranged by the retreat hosts.

Seva Yoga Retreats does not accept any liability for any loss or damage to the Guest’s personal items, and/or for any injuries occurred before, during or after a retreat organised by Seva Yoga Retreats nor for any damages occurred at the premise (villa, hotel, venue) where the retreat takes place or at any other third-party service providers such as workshops, sailing boats etc.

Any damage to the accommodation or the inventory is to be paid by the participants. The person who caused the damage is liable for the full amount. If no participant acknowledges the damage, the costs will be apportioned to all participants. 

 

The Guest agrees that this release shall be legally binding upon him/ her personally and all members of his/ her family, assignors and heirs.

​

No failure or delay from Seva Yoga Retreat’s side to exercise any right provided under these terms and conditions or by law shall constitute a waiver of that and shall not prevent or restrict the further exercise by Seva Yoga Retretas of that or any other right or remedy.

​

COVID-19 WAIVER

By attending one of retreats organised by Seva Yoga Retreats, Guests agree to practice good hygiene, follow the social distancing protocols, comply with all of the necessary preventive hygiene measures according to local guidance and abide by the official general public health safety guidelines in accordance with the National Public Health Organization (NPHO) under the supervision of the Minister of Health guidelines, currently in force. The Guest also agrees to take all the necessary precautions & measures before travelling to Greece (such as Covid 19 test, vaccination et al) according to the international travel guidelines.

GDPR COMPLIANCE (PHOTO / VIDEO RELEASE FORM)

The Guest hereby grants to Seva Yoga Retreats the right and permission to use photographic material & video in which the Guests are featured and are taken during the course of the retreat. Seva Yoga Retreats holds the right to use, republish, and copyright this material for advertising and promotional purposes. By giving permission, the Guest hereby releases and discharges Seva Yoga Retreats from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the photographs and video footage, including without limitation any and all claims for libel or invasion of privacy.

COPYRIGHTS

We have copyrights to all images, films and texts that are published in our online store. A use of the images, movies and texts, is not permitted without our express consent.

CHANGES TO OUR TERMS & CONDITIONS

In order to provide a consistent experience for all its Guests, Seva Yoga Retreats reviews the present terms and conditions and reserves the right to amend or update the present Terms and Conditions at any time. The effective date is displayed hereunder. Thus, it is recommended that the Guest reviews this page periodically for any changes. To keep the Guest informed of any changes to the present terms and conditions,  Seva Yoga Retreats will inform Guests by promptly posting the new terms and conditions on this page. Each of these policies may be changed from time to time and are effective from the moment they are posted on Seva Yoga Retreats' website at www.sevayogaretreats.com.

DISPUTES & APPLICABLE LAW 

Should a disagreement, difference, or dispute arise during the conclusion, interpretation and execution of the present Terms & Conditions, as well as claims related to them, both parties, the Guest and Seva Yoga Retreats shall attempt in good faith to resolve any such dispute within reasonable time after the date of the written expression of the disagreement by any of the parties. 

​

In the event that a difference is not resolved in this way, then the parties shall be free to pursue any right or remedy available to them under applicable law. In this case, competent for its judicial resolution shall be the Courts of Athens, Greece exclusively, which shall decide on any trials regarding the execution and the Greek law shall apply.

​

By booking a retreat organised by Seva Yoga Retreats, the Guest hereby certifies that he/she has read and fully understood the present terms and conditions, and he/she is fully aware that there is a release of liability included, he/she accepts all terms and conditions and agrees of his/her own free will to all terms and conditions and applicable policies above. If the Guest does not agree to the aforementioned terms and conditions, he/she is not permitted to participate in any retreat / activity by Seva Yoga Retreats.
